Privacy, Terms & Sponsor Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Who runs this
Stadium Year is an independent media project — one person documenting a 2027 road trip to every NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB team's home game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, any team, or any venue. All team and league names belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the trip. Questions: [email protected].
Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Email address — only if you choose to sign up for updates. Used to email you about the trip and, later, launch news. Unsubscribe any time from any email.
- Contribution details — if you contribute, payment is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. We receive your contribution amount and any name/@handle and note you choose to add for a shout-out.
- Basic analytics — aggregate, privacy-respecting page counts. No cross-site advertising trackers.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We don't require an account to read, follow, or contribute.
- We don't store payment-card details — Stripe does, under PCI compliance.
Who we share with
Only the service providers that make the site run: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), and an email provider for updates you opted into. Each processes data only to provide their service. We may disclose information if required by law.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, and you can ask us to delete your email or contribution record by writing to the address above. A public shout-out name can be removed on request.
Terms of Use
- The route, dates, mileage and schedule shown are plans and estimates that will change as real 2027 schedules are released. Nothing here is a guarantee that any specific game will be attended on any specific date.
- Contributions are voluntary gifts of support, not purchases, investments, or tax-deductible donations, and are non-refundable except where required by law. They do not entitle you to any product, equity, or return. Perks such as a name on the wall or a shout-out are goodwill, not a guaranteed service.
- We may add, change, or discontinue features, perks, or the trip itself. If the trip cannot proceed, contributions already spent on preparation cannot be returned.
- Content on this site is © Stadium Year unless noted; team/league marks belong to their owners.
- The site is provided "as is," without warranties, to the extent permitted by law.
Memberships & recurring billing
Road Crew ($5/month), Co-Pilot ($15/month) and Navigator ($50/month) are recurring monthly subscriptions, not one-time gifts. The terms below apply to them specifically.
- Auto-renewal. When you join a tier, your payment method is charged the tier price immediately and then automatically once every month on the same date, in US dollars, until you cancel. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
- How to cancel. Go to stadiumyear.com/support, enter the email address you paid with, and we email you a link to the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel yourself. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for: the next charge does not happen, and your access — including your Discord role — continues until that period ends and is then removed automatically. You can also cancel by emailing [email protected].
- Price changes. If a tier price changes, existing members are notified by email at least 30 days beforehand and may cancel before the new price applies.
- Refunds. Membership payments are generally non-refundable, but if you are charged after cancelling, or charged in error, email [email protected] and it will be refunded.
- What a membership is. Membership buys access to a community and to behind-the-scenes content. It is not an investment, it conveys no equity or return, and perks are goodwill rather than a guaranteed service. If the trip cannot proceed, membership billing is stopped.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch this site's servers. Your email address, tier, and subscription status are stored so the membership can be honoured and cancelled.
Sponsor policy — who we'll never take money from
Radical money-transparency only works if you can trust the money. So the exclusion list is public, and it's part of the brand:
We will not accept sponsorship from
- Sportsbooks, daily-fantasy, or any gambling product
- Cryptocurrency, tokens, or NFT projects
- "Buy now, pay later" / high-interest lending
- Alcohol as a primary, paid read
- Anything we wouldn't use ourselves or recommend to a friend
Every sponsor and every contribution is disclosed on camera in the weekly financial reconciliation. If a brand isn't a genuine fit, the answer is no — no matter the check.
